Grits and Baked Curried Fruit Sauce
OK, you are saying WHAT!!!   Yes, this is very good as a side dish with ham.
1/3 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
4 tsp. curry powder
1 No. 1 can pear halves
1 No. 1 can peach halves
1 No. 1 can chunk pineapple
1 sm. bottle Marachino cherries
4 c. cooked grits
Heat oven to 325 F.  Melt butter, add sugar and curry powder.  Drain all fruit as dry as possible and arrange in 1 1/2 qt casserole.  Add butter mixture spreading evenloy over fruit.  Bake 45 to 60 minutes.  May be prepared day before and baked then reheated before serving at 325F for 20 to 30 minutes. 
Served over cooked grits as a side for either ham, chicken, turkey or roast.
